Group Calendar 5.0 is finished! The final release version is available in the forums or from curse.com or wowinterface.com. A huge thanks to the many players and guilds who helped testing through the beta cycles and for all the great feedback.
Look for 5.1 soon with “maybe” signups and the ability to tweak settings like disabling the tradeskill or other reminders. I plan to have it ready for patch 3.3.
Group Calendar 5.0b10 is now available in the forums and is near-final. If you’ve been putting off trying GC5 because of its beta status, this would be a good one to try out as it should be very stable and is feature-complete. Help me with debugging by giving it a try and reporting any problems!
I haven’t gotten much done lately due to problems with my right arm, but I did get a bugfix build of 5.0 done to address some of the more annoying bugs introduced by 5.0b4. The download is available in the GC5 forums (registration required) or on Curse or WoW Interface.

A couple of the bugs reported against yesterday’s 5.0b1 build are significant enough that I think another build is needed to ensure that GC5 runs a smoothly as it can. I also fixed a couple of easy minor bugs and usability issues.

I’m finally ready to call it “beta”! All the major features for the first release are now implemented. This build adds new event notifications and fixes a few problems with the guild partnership feature. The most significant thing missing is automatic confirmations and personal events. Personal events (birthdays, doctor, etc.) just need some work to fix them up and I’m considering dropping the automatic confirmations feature from the first release and adding it for a “5.1″ release instead. The big sticking point with it is that I have to scan the calendar in the background, which means monitoring other addons accesses to the calendar API so I can suspend scanning while it’s in use. I’m also concerned about performance with that background scanning and want more time to think about that aspect as well.

This is probably the last pre-beta build, unless it turns out I messed something up in a big way with these changes. The multi-guild partnership stuff is finally done as well as a couple other features and bugfixes.

Not much new in this release other than updating the Argent Tournament script to recognize the slightly-renamed mounts in patch 3.1.2. Of course, if you use that script then this is a must have for the new patch :)

Wow, build d12 was kind of a stinker. A couple of the bugs I fixed in d12 generated whole new bugs, including breaking the ability to event create announcements and guild events! Here’s d13 with the fixes for that. No new features (I’m working on the guild partnership code, previously known as guild alliances), just those bug fixes.

It’s been quite a while since the last build of GC5, but I finally have it ready. This one adds more missing features and fixes several bugs and is practically release-quality except for the missing support for multi-guild alliances.

I’m releasing a new build since the previous build had problems with event creation and editing which prevent it from being useful for day-to-day use. This build fixes that problem as well as a few other minor bugs.
