This update improves the appearance and performance of Full Moon. Especially improved is the delay when changing months in the calendar.

I’ve released the first build of Outfitter 5 which features new outfit generation capabilities. With Outfitter 5 you can build outfits using multiple stats such as hit-capped spellpower or defense-capped TankPoints. I’ve also added support for WeightsWatcher so you can include weightings from that or Pawn in building your outfits. The download is available via the forums, let me know what you think and of course if you have any problems!

The new build of the PTR came out yesterday and Blizzard has backed out the change that disabled third-party equipment addons! I still need to do some testing to figure out what they did change to fix the rogue poisons exploit in case I need to make changes for that, but so far Outfitter is working fine on the PTR :)

Blizzard is (so far) removing the ability to have gear management addons such as Outfitter in patch 3.3 and you will only be able to use the built-in Equipment Manager. Blizzard could still revert that change, but that’s the way they have it right now on the test realm for patch 3.3 and I haven’t seen comments from them saying that it’s an accident. This change appears to be in response to addons which allow rogues to stack higher-than-normal numbers of poisons automatically during combat.

Players should consider moving their important outfits over to the EM by clicking the W icon next to those outfits in the Outfitter UI. That will copy them to the EM so that you won’t lose them once the patch is released.

A user pointed out that the features of the moon in my display didn’t match the actual moon, and he was right! Somewhere along the way I rotated my moon image and messed that up. It still showed the correct phase, but if you wanted to know which parts were visible and which weren’t it was wrong. Here’s 3.2.1 which corrects that problem!

Group Calendar 5.0 is finished! The final release version is available in the forums or from curse.com or wowinterface.com. A huge thanks to the many players and guilds who helped testing through the beta cycles and for all the great feedback.

Look for 5.1 soon with “maybe” signups and the ability to tweak settings like disabling the tradeskill or other reminders. I plan to have it ready for patch 3.3.

Group Calendar 5.0b10 is now available in the forums and is near-final. If you’ve been putting off trying GC5 because of its beta status, this would be a good one to try out as it should be very stable and is feature-complete. Help me with debugging by giving it a try and reporting any problems!

Outfitter 4.9 beta is now available in the forums! This new version of Outfitter will focus on the automatic outfit generation features, with the first beta having all new code based on LibStatLogic for stat parsing as well as support for Pawn Scales (Pawn req’d). The LibStatLogic support should make outfit generation work in all languages that LibStatLogic supports, a vast improvement over the spotty non-English support I’ve had in previous versions.

The next build of the beta will be adding the ability to build outfits for max. TankPoints (melee, ranged, and all spell schools), then I plan to add the ability to do multi-stat optimizations for things like “build an outfit with at least 200 fire resist and maximum spell power”. Multi-stat may or may not make it in though since it requires more complex UI changes, so I may push it out to a 4.10 release just so I can release the other stuff in 4.9 earlier.

Yay, it’s finally done! After three months or so of coding and debugging, Outfitter 4.8 is finally ready. In less than 24 hours there’ve been around 38,000 downloads on Curse alone and no bug reports at all so far!

The main feature is the Equipment Manager integration but there are numerous other features and fixes as well, click the “read the rest” link to see the complete change log.

The clock/CMOS battery in the wobbleworks.com server died and caused the date to keep resetting to sometime in 2004. This was causing the forums to reject new posts as being “too soon” (!). I’ve replaced the battery and it seems to be fine again.
